When to and When not to buy in e-commerce websites???

As every one knows there is a growing interest in shopping on e-commerce websites such as Flipkart,snapdeal,paytm,amazon,ebay,etc...in India. The growth of these websites is exponential for the past 3 years especially in India.People are overthrown with joy, because of attractive offers provided by these websites to attract the lucrative customers. If you give a look behind the scenes, you will see a mind blowing strategy created by professionals working in these industries based on customer behavior/mood analytics. The offers are nothing but a camouflage in order to attract the massive population towards them and do the shopping, which in turn reduces the profitability of the brick and mortar stores present at your locality.

They practically use the greed factor of human to attract towards them.In the long term the brick and mortar stores at your locality will stop selling and move on to some other business. This is the turning point of the e-commerce website's,when they grab the opportunity and start to over price the products using the advantage of monopoly and demand.

Many people say that these offers are just an eye wash.Because they see it in a different way, such that the websites over price the products and give offers, which becomes the same price of the product available for sale outside. But this concept is wrong. The real concept is that the above mentioned e-commerce websites gets funding from Angel investors and other financial institutions outside of India. For example snapdeal is getting 400 million dollar funding from soft bank, japan , paytm is getting 575 million dollar funding from Alibaba(china) , Amazon is pouring 2 billion dollar by itself into India. So practically the offer prices are nothing but the cash support given by these foreign investors. The discounted money will be paid to the dealers from the capital provided by those   foreign investors. The foreign investors are providing that much amount of external funding to make the internet game to act as a monopoly. So now who is taking the loss??? Obviously foreign investors. But once the market becomes monopoly who will carry the profits? That is also obviously foreign investors.

So,what must be our strategy to counter this approach or make use of the greed factor used by those analytics and reverse the same process against them at a certain point of time. This is the booming period of the e-commerce industry. This is the peak time they give huge offers for the products. So,customers should check the price and offers carefully for certain products and buy it from those websites. But,they should not buy everything with closed eyes believing that those website given rates are true.At a certain point of time you would feel that the offers on those particular website is not lucrative. This is the point of time the people should know that the game is becoming a monopoly act and so the people should start to shift their shopping to brick and mortar stores near to their locality again.

For example,Flipkart offered a big billion day sale a year ago , during that day the offers were too huge that they were providing even 100 % discounts for the products. But, if you watch them now, even though they mention it as a big day sale, the offers have been reduced and the product for which more offers are given are also rarely used products that have less demand from customers. The reason for this is that they have now acquired a huge customer base you could not even imagine. The turnover of Flipkart alone is 2846 crore rupees in 2014.This is their strategy I was speaking before.

So,I hope that the people who are buying from e-commerce websites now on-wards  will think carefully and buy only the selective profitable products and also hope that they will continue supporting brick and mortar stores in their locality.By doing this way, people can make their game of monopoly endless!!!

Thank you.

How to prepare for GATE exam???

GATE exam is one of the most furiously competed exams in the field of engineering. This is one of the most sorted exams by the budding graduates after their bachelor's degree in India.Qualifying in this exam and getting a merit seat in any of the prestigious institutions such as IIT's,NIT's and getting jobs under PSU's are considered as its sole purpose. So,how effectively prepare for it and be one among the winners who do it.

STEP 1:

Before doing any work prior planning is considered the pragmatic way of starting to success!! which goes by the saying " Plan the work and Work the Plan".So,Prepare your mind that you are going to crack the GATE exam at whatever cost it takes. We always have to be ready for the down-slides in our life and carefully evaluate the progress through taking useful points from key drawbacks during down-slides.

STEP 2:

If you are at your third year of your B.Tech then it is good time making mistakes during preparation of GATE.But if you are planning to prepare for the GATE exam at your final year you should take this as a little serious task.Because, you are going to write exam this time.
It is important for every student to join a verified and well established coaching institute in his region for GATE preparation.I strongly recommend joining for regular full time class coaching for GATE preparation.Because, coaching institutes know the tactics to prepare for the exam.If you prepare it by yourself it will be really imperative of your qualification unless you are an extraordinary student.Another very important advantage of joining coaching center is that you will be in contact with your peers who are also going to write the exam. So,you will not miss out any updates regarding the exam and also you will be in compulsion daily that you should attend the class,so you wont miss out the interest of preparation as you see your peers preparing very hard at the center. Also you will get a chance for assessment during mock tests conducted by them and also an opportunity to get clarified of your doubts you get in the mock tests and while you study at home.

STEP 3 :

Download the syllabus from the GATE website. Each year the website changes based on which institution is going to carry out the Gate examination.

STEP 4:

From the syllabus, you must be able to mark which subjects you are strong and in which subjects you need much more guidance. You must first concentrate on the subject you need more guidance first. You must be very attentive during the class on those subjects.Because, each question you make yourself clear while preparation has the ability to get you each mark.Which means each mark in GATE exam is having the power to move your rank forward up about 3000 to 5000 candidates.

STEP 5:

Being categorized your weak subjects,Now you should categorize your active and weak parts of your day.For example consider a single day, check at which are all the times you have good mood to study and which are all the time at which you feel bored or drowsy.

STEP 6:

No one can study all the weak subjects at once.It will cause heavy depression to them.I strongly feel to avoid those actions.Because those depressing thoughts may even push you towards thinking not to take GATE exam.
As you had already categorized the active time of your day.You must study the most tough and weak subjects of you at those times.Because, these are the time your brain will do whatever you order to it.Again you should prepare the subjects you feel most interesting and easy on the drowsy part of the day.So that because of your interest in those subjects you may break your drowsiness.

STEP 7:

Check the topics to which most importance is given in the previous GATE exams.Finish studying those topics first.Whatever be the topics, one must be very strong in his basics.Because most of the questions asked in GATE are from very basic concepts in your field. You must understand their relativity in every problem.

STEP 8:

Giving rest to yourself is as important as studying.Because, continuous studying will make your brain drowsy and it will make you loose interest during study. So take small breaks, small chit-chats with your friends.Taking a short nap is highly recommended, because giving rest to your brain is the main concept.Take a healthy diet,a hungry student cannot focus during study.

STEP 9:

Chart the routine and make a habit to follow it on a daily basis.Perseverance in the mock tests conducted at the coaching institutes and following the same timing as that of the GATE exam during writing the mock test will prepare your brain for the final exam situation.Keep hope at yourself whatever be the result of the mock test conducted is must. You must take extra care of those topics and get it cleared at the same day.Do not miss any test, because the questions are most likely to be asked or it have the same pattern to be asked. So understand the question and concepts behind it very well.Keep very high hope that you will finish out in stunning colors.

If you follow the above steps it is unquestionable that you will win the GATE examination.
All the best!!!

After B.Tech What??? M.tech or M.s or Job????

Hi Graduates,

A many congratulations for the completion of a rather tormenting or a persuasive part of your career with success.Welcome to the new era of freedom to choose anything you want, with varied opportunities being afloat in front of you.Let me guide you in the beautiful voyage of your life. This is the time when the most responsible decisions are to be taken.Do not worry, let me guide you through step by step process.

How about a job after B.Tech?

  • Getting a job after B.Tech is regarded as a most secured way of leading in life.Students who have idea of being done in studies will eventually move to a job, One whose financial circumstances does not support further may also opt for a job,Someone who has got a very hefty salary package and the desired position in the company may also wish to take that job after B.Tech.If someone feel that in their field of study higher education is no worth or it will have less demand, then they may also opt for a job.
  • Getting a job after B.Tech is never been an easy process, unless you have good placements in the college.
  • The first job you get placed should be like the one you were looking for, because once you join the company and in months you may feel that you made the wrong choice. You cannot just quit the company, unless you have another job in hand.Where you would be questioned of what you have done after B.Tech and you must be able to answer why you left your previous job.
  • Company selection is very much important, one must know complete details about the company before attending the interview for the same.
  • Students must be aware that there are many competitive exams that students can take to secure jobs in government institutions. They must know the whereabouts and dates of application submissions for each exams. These students should start preparing for the competitive exams once they finish their third year of B.Tech.Going to the coaching center for preparation to these competitive exam is a good idea that I will suggest, because they will teach you the tactics to control the exam, rather than the exam controlling you.

What about M.Tech degree in India?

  • Students who have high aspiration to explore more intensive concepts in their fields may wish to take M.tech courses in India.
  • Students who know that doing M.Tech will really give them a better job posting in the company while getting placed during M.Tech degree will pursue M.tech.
  • Those who aspire to do research in their field and those who think they can use their grey matter for the welfare of world by doing useful Phd/research will do M.Tech as first step.
  • Those who wish to become a professor in a well established institution and guide students in their life, will also do M.tech degree.Professor job also comes with a hefty package and responsibility.
  • Many students who have high aspirations will start preparing for competitive exams like "GATE"(Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam when they are in their third year of B.Tech, to do master's course at prestigious institutions like "IISC,IIT's,NIT's,IISER's" .These institutions have high placement records, high infrastructure facilities and funding for carrying out scientific research.
  • Meritorious students who gets selected to the above institution through GATE exam will get stipend of 12,400 rupees each month until they complete their M.Tech degree in two years.
  • Read on how to prepare for GATE @ http://cooolage.blogspot.in/2015/07/how-to-prepare-for-gate-exam.html.

Why do M.S in Abroad, why not do M.Tech in India?

  • Students who really feel that, they have the special idea of performing a world class research and really want to learn very important things in their field of study, they must opt for doing M.S in abroad institutions. Because Indian institutions are nowhere near to the kind of facilities provided by foreign institutes and also the amount of funding those institutes gets are way too high.
  • The faculties in foreign institutions are world class. They do their job of teaching perfectly. But, here in India most of the faculties even in the premier institution above mentioned will consider M.Tech students as those who know everything and there is no need to teach them,In the middle of doing M.Tech, students studying in India may even feel that all that hard work they have put for preparing GATE exam is of no use.Because, some professors give more importance to their own lives, just by doing all those consultancy works they get because of being as professors of premium institutes. It is a real shame. That is why none of the Indian Institutions are ranked in first 250 institutes around the world. Most of the new IIT's and even old NIT's do not have tie up with industries. Then how come students will get placed after their masters. There is literally very less placement for master students. But some gets lucky because there are always good people (faculties) around in IIT's and NIT's to help students. But in foreign institution you need not depend on luck, the professors shape the students to a world class person, they do for what they are signed up for.
  • One should not be afraid about the expenses to study M.S abroad. There are more number of scholarships available abroad to carry out your study and also they provide living allowances. Also private banks in India also provide many educational loans for students to perform higher studies.
  • Student should have performed many co-curricular activities and must have been a part of NGO organisation and also he should have attended seminars and conferences and presented papers in the same during his B.Tech tenure,to get  selected in these kind of scholarship programs.Their statement of purpose must be sound.
